Hi, I’m Allison McKeany — Registered Dietitian (RD), mom, wife, and obsessive meal planner.
For years, people have asked me what I eat and how I feed my family. Well, here it is — a simple and sustainable approach to food and eating that is healthy, delicious, and budget-friendly.
A Little More About Me
I live in the California Bay Area with my husband, Lyle, and two daughters, Sara and Emily. I meal plan, shop for, and prepare all the meals in our home (much to Lyle’s appreciation), including tube feeding meals for Emily, who has cerebral palsy.
Over the last 12 years working in healthcare and feeding my family, I have fine-tuned my approach to food to maximize the taste and nutrition while sticking to a budget.
What is “Put Your Food to Work?”
I have often said that food should work for you instead of against you. Food should nourish and satisfy you without breaking the bank or handcuffing you to the kitchen.
